New coop.. new chicks.. two old hens...

Oh no... a blizzard? We are expecting 3-6 more inches sat and I’ve had it! Good luck with the chickies!

Too cute.. so back to heat lamp phase lol annnddd my foster puppy arrived from Georgia!
 
I love the idea of chicks getting to explore the rest of the run without my RIR ?#@*&%! Hurting them. Usually just block the run in half with wire fence till they’re bigger but may have to try this sometime this spring
One of the members here makes 5x7" openings in her wire that the chicks can go through into the bigger hens area but still escape back to their side safely. I am going to do that in my run this year. I thought it sounded like a great idea. I believe she posted how to and pictures, but I cannot remember who! Will try to find it... think it was in the big Mama's heating pad thread...
