haha, thanks. but I really don't want anyone thinking I bought new windows like that for a coop! I got them used from the Rebuilding Center in Portland, OR for super cheap. btw if anyone else in the Portland area is building a coop check it out. They have tons of doors, windows, lumber, fixtures and on and on. The Rebuilding Center is an amazing resource!
Can you give me a price estament? (you can pm if you don't want to say publicly)
Well the total run is 11'x5' and henhouse is 5' x 3' with 6' of roost space so I think it would house 5-6 standard hens (I have 3 standards and 3 bantams) I spent about $500 on supplies although I used some leftover deck boards I had for the roof rafters. I also probably over-used pressure-treated wood just because I'm in the rainy NW so that could cut alot of cost out.
Hope that helps
Lovely job- may I make a suggestion for winter? Creat some 'snow boards' which you can screw over the run area- it wil make a huge difference when you want to get the birds out in winter. We made our of 1/4" plywood and painted them to match the coop. We store them in the barn in the summer.
