I'm just getting ready to build mine, thanks for posting those shots, most helpful. By the way, what about making skids so you can pull it around on a tractor? I think I'm gonna give it a go!

I use electrical conduit for a lot of things. Generally I use a bender and bend it but...
I'm intrigued by smashing the ends so I could fasten them to something.

Do you use a hammer and just wail on them?

How ever you do it be it vise, press or a big hammer the real key is to make sure that the seam ends up on the flat side, not on the edge or it will split.
