New Coop

You already had good advice regarding the nest box lip. The thing with a door is that, predator defense aside, if you're in an area that gets cold weather, it helps keep the cold out over night. Also, I've read about people using dowel rods too, mostly w/bantams. But unlike most wild birds, chickens don't really grab hold of branches to perch; their feet rest on an object (although their toes may naturally curl a bit), which is why a flattish object is typically better. Plus, if you're in a cold weather area, a slightly wider perch allows their feathers to totally cover their feet/toes when they sit.
How cool that your girl gave you an egg so soon after being moved into her new coop

Good Job.

To add to the other advice, don't forget about ventilation. This is just as important. I did not see an ventilation windows in your new coop.

If you where to add a hen or two with her i dont think they will be to loud. It also really depends on the chicken tho. I have 3 hens that are very social and then i have 4 that aren't. Usually they only talk to me so i would get her at least one buddy.

Do what everyone else said, and get more chickens!!
