New Coop!

+1

I scanned Craigslist for "pallets" and came across a post for some at a craft distiller near me, when I went to look there was someone outside and I asked if I had the correct pile to pick from. He said yes I did and the pile is always there as they store their barrels on pallets and if one board breaks they scrap them. took a bit of work to disassemble them and clean up the boards but free is free. Wished I had thought about pallets before I started my construction, but at least I got them before I was finished so was able to use them for some of the construction and saved some $$$.
My mom loves building things out of wood pallets, she built my coffee table out of two pallets. There are plenty of fun things you can build with them and free wood is the best!

That's funny... my mom builds stuff with pallets too!

Did you go by a set of plans and materials list? Or did you just "wing it"? I don't know enough about constructing structures to "wing it". And I don't have time to learn. Need step-by-step instructions or it'll never get done. Traveling a lot soon, so... TIME CRUNCH!

My mom is pretty crafty and just found a picture of a similar coop online and used it as a reference, but there are some blue prints and chicken coop instructions online. Plus our local library has coop building books in the animals and livestock section, maybe yours might to.
