New Duck Owner

Hello!
I’m so happy to have found this forum. My husband and I purchased a property with a small pond and we agreed to adopt and care for the previous owner’s 3 ducks. After an unfortunate accident, only one duck remains. We also have dogs, barn cats and horses.

Sorry to read you lost 2 if your new ducks. Do you plan to get some more for your lonely survivor?

Thank you. I was so sad and angry to find the 2 were gone, leaving this poor single duck who was clearly distraught (losing feathers and losing color). I joined here in an effort to figure out what would be the best thing to do for the remaining guy. I am thinking of getting some ducklings in spring. Our construction project should be wrapped up by then. I welcome anyone’s input here on duck management!!
