I have 3 4 wk old ducklings. 1 Pekin Female; Kevin (from the movie Up), 1 Khaki Campbell Female; Rigby (from a cartoon), 1 unknown sex Magpie; Mack. I have had them for almost 1 mth :). If u all wouldnt mind, I have a few questions. Why do my ducks sometimes sound like ducks & at the times they sound like Turkeys? My Magpie has developed what looks like 3 feathers growing n the same place. It looks like a mass is forming @ the base :(. Does any1 know if this will resolve itself or will the Vet need to be called? Thanks for any help :)!

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Congratulations on your new duckings! You might try posting in the Ducks forum for help with figuring out the noises little guys are making https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/42/ducks
Where are the feathers/mass that you are talking about on the Magpie? You could ask in the Ducks forum about that also, or if you think it is a medical issue try the Emergencies forum, pictures might help to figure out what is going on. https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/10/emergencies-diseases-injuries-and-cures
You might also like to check out the BYC Learning Center, lots of good articles on all aspects of poultry keeping. https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center
And it is always fun to check out your state thread for poultry keeping neighbors https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/44/texas

Oh, sure, go back and edit to add the questions - make me look like I'm crazy or can't read, lol.
BTW, meant to add I love the names - we had a temporary cat (what I call the strays/dumpees that pass through our doors) named Kevin (same inspiration)

Sorry I don't know anything about ducks. But, maybe the different sounds are because their voices are changing as they mature. Like young chicks peep, and then go on to cluck.

Welcome to BYC!

I don't know anything about Ducks either. But they sure are cute and I love the quacking!! Follow the link to the Duck section that Kelsie has left for you to get the Duck experts to help you out. Enjoy your new babies and welcome to our flock!
