New ducklings from TSC!

i’ve always fed my ducklings either duMor or purina chick starter and they’ve always done well.. i’ve never supplemented them. they are all perfectly healthy

I dont see any Niacin in the ingredients, So I would just get either some brewers yeast or a poultry vitimam supplement.

Yes, I have two pekins.

I do not have pekins. They are a very interesting duck but i just never took to them. I have Welsh Harliquin and black east indies at this time.

That said with Pekins and other large breeds it's best to add the Nutritional yeast or other supplement with an adequate amount of niacin in it because at some point there is that risk of one ending up with leg issues and why not just go ahead and supplement instead of taking the chance? It's an inexpensive cost of knowing they are getting all they need.

Are nutritional yeast and brewer's yeast the same thing? I'm guessing not. And how much should I give them?

I like Nutritional yeast better if you read up on the two the NY has better nutrients. Put 1 tablespoon over each cup of feed you give them.
