New Egg needs advice on rooster selection for my flock?? *pics wanted*

I would suggest a welsummer or EE. The offspring would have fun colored eggs that way!

If quantity is what you want, then I suggest an Orpington.
A mutt is also nice, and you can probably just get one on craigslist. I got a Brahma (kinda) and he is really sweet and gentle. I dont like his feathered legs though.

The big roos are pretty but if your free ranging. You need one that can fly and a good scratch-er and hunter of food, For the eggs and looks a brown leghorn, for looks, smarts, and seasonal eggs a game roo

I would get a red rooster (My choice would be an RIR or BO) so that you could cross it with one of your silver hens (like the SLW, I think they have the silver gene) and get sexlink offspring.

If you want the pullet offspring to lay eggs, then use a RIR, Leghorn or Barred Rock.
