I have 7 chickens (6 hens and 1 rooster), Richard the naked necked rooster has always been super docile and never given me any issues or tried to harm any of the hens. I just got a female pekin from a bad home and when I went to introduce them he just started attacking her with his beak and kicking at her. Previously I had kept hens with ducks and there was never an issue. My hens don’t seem to care about the duck.
1. Have you ever had any issues with roosters and ducks?
2. Do you have any ideas on how to integrate them?
3. Should I just let them work it out?
4. How long do you think I should give them before I remove Richard from my flock.

She’s brand new to your roosters environment, and he’s only doing what‘s natural… protecting his flock. He could hurt her really seriously. Separate her before that happens. You can either get her another duck friend (and house them somewhere else), or find her a new home. Good wishes being sent your way, that you’ll find a safe solution. It‘s also better for the duck, that you rescued her from a bad situation to begin with.
