our 6 month old girls are new layers. one hen (rooster - plymouth rock) has laid an egg a day for 3 weeks, the other (belina - buff orphington) is just a 4 days in and every day. will this egg production continue every day, or will it start to drop off?

Some layers are superstar producers but as the average egg cycle is 26 hours or so, they'll eventually miss a day. I don't think I've ever had a bird lay more than a week straight. Obviously things like molting, shortened winter daylight hours, stress, broodiness will slow or temporarily stop laying.

Don't understand what the reference to a rooster is for?
Had a high production cross(EE x Amberlink) lay 49, 34, 20, 6, 13, 6, 14 day stretches(with one day off between) right out of the gate. She was a super layer, didn't live long tho.

I think Rooster is the name of the hen lol. I had to reread that twice.

Oh sorry! Rooster is her name. She was a scraggly mean thing when she was a chick. I put in quotations in the other post lol
