new egg ??

Ok...I have a birchin...crossed with light sussex and black star..
yesterday she started eggs song rehursals...so loud...I went out thinking...maybe a preditor was around...
she was trying to mess with my other laying regal girl...who really couldn't care less, what she was up to...
but no egg...
today...she was in when my silkie was laying...trumping loudley then squating apropriately...
but no egg..
do you think maybe there is troubles??
I really have no experience...Unfortunately with winter weather..my husband...won't be making it home this evening..
he is in the medical field...and I would much prefer it was him to do anything...
should I just wait..
till she works it all out....
