Hi
I had no idea there were meets for poultry. I am such a newbie. I've only gone to the local fairs. What is the schedule for this year? Did I miss them all already?
Also, if you're in central MA and need cheap shavings or hay, drop me a note. We just hayed our fields, and we still have last year's crop to sell. I buy shavings in truckloads of 1200 bags at a time for my horses and sell the extra, and it's about a $1 or $2 cheaper per bag than the grain store. Lately a lot of chicken people have been buying the shavings, so I thought maybe I should let y'all know where to get them, too.
Personally, I like the hay for nests instead. Or should I say my girls like the hay better?
I hope I posted the second part in the right place. I know the first part is.
ps- "Chickenstock" sounds like a hippie gathering of hens
