Ellen, believe me I never use to get my shopping done this early until the great cinnamon fiasco of 2002.
I waited until 2 days before thanksgiving to buy my ingredients and I could not get cinnamon anywhere.
I went to every supermarket and drugstore and everyone was completely sold out!!
The manager of the supermarket near me said it may come in the next day in their deliveries.
Well I went in the next day and nothing, I was ready to take hostages if I didn't get my cinnamon.
My mom must have seen me on the news
because she called and told me I could have her bottle.
So every since then I shop early for anything that I don't need to be fresh.
So I hear our area is getting rain and stong wind tomorrow.
Now that I break out those big 5 quart heated bowls it won't be that cold tomorrow.
I like how those things kick on at 40 degrees though.
I know those were a good deal and can you believe I looked at them and put them back when I saw them at the store. I figured I wouldnn't need them because I would have my heated waterers buy then.
Well my husband comes home the same day with two of them. I said oh thanks, but was thinking I probably wouldn't need them.
Well of course I do because I never ordered the chicken waterer's with the heated base in time before it got so cold here.

like the rolls last thanksgiving didnt think about them til the last minute ended up late for dinner, that is what i was suppose to contribute and didnt remember, dah

Well, our company's here and this morning our "new" used range just got hooked up & the old one lugged out...so I can postpone that heart attack or the need to look up no-bake turkey recipes! RELIEF!
Rolls! That reminds me of when a friend's young daughter was asked in class to name her favorite Thanksgiving food, and she replied enthusiastically, "Brown 'n' Serve Rolls!" which became a fun family joke...you know, the trickiest part of the feast...

Well Bubbz, I keep trying, honest I do. We just had that fancy blizzard this morning!
Yuck...Yuck. But then again, this may not be such a horrible thing, it rained so hard that the water was leaking in around the chimney and its never done that nor leaked "up" the eves, and water in the basement.
So snow is a bit dryer.
We went to DH's family for Thanksgiving, they let me cook- and they like me to cook- lol. The stuffing was different we used apple, cranberries, wheat bread/white bread, onion, ground sausage and some other things. I do like regular stuffing too.

and now we're up to "brown 'n' serve" turkey leftovers - yeah!
cant tell you how many times I have forgotten to put the brown and serve biscuits in the oven LOL

Love the first snow.... it's all the other ones that will come after that I don't like...
didn't seem to faze the chicks but I made them go into the pen anyway...they were not happy campers...
