Do you think you'll organize one near W Leb? That would make it worth while for me to drive from Montpelier.

i am on the seacoast on nh, so that is a bit far, but you could do it, just ask your local feed store or such if it is ok, post ads, on craigslist, here and at local feed stores. its easy enough to do,

tony what do you think? too far???

Birch run, why don't you host your own chickenstock. I am trying to get one going up in Berlin, NH but I can't see how it could work. I do not know any BYC's up there and its to far for most ME and lower NH folks to drive to sell a chicken. Hosting a chickenstock is not end of the world difficult, most times advertising is free, posters and directions, email or phone number. You do not need games, trinkets and treasures, add it to a Flea market and you would not believe how fast things would move.
Good luck !!!

I'm in Ny! about 30 minutes west of Albany. Anyone closeby selling any chickies??

spook, we need to work on some maine swaps, can you talk to your group, maybe we can work with them on one? or do you have any idea's of where to hold it, i tried to get in touch with the girl that did them last yr, having no luck.
thanks

Melissa is her name, nice family. I agree about getting something going around here. I'll email her and see what stage she is at.
Of course Banter is planning one and at a camp ground no less! That sounds like a fun over night! That could end up being pretty neat! (I have a tent wooohooo) Parsonsfeild, it wouldn't be a horrible trip for the upper and lower NH and ME folks.
Berlin, NH is soso on it, I do not know anyone up there, not a soul that has chickens, only one woman that is interested in owning them and it took her 2 weeks to get back to me by email asking for me to let her know when the day is close. Eh, she wasn't to interested- I guess.
Well, Saturday is the club meeting, I'll find out when they are having a spring show and that was year before last (?) that you was up with frozenfeathers at Windsor, springish I thought.
Either way, I'll inquire and see whats happening!

Oh, below is the link to the incubator that my mom built for me- I'm in hopes to start with 2 bantam eggs, do you need to let eggs sit for 24 hours? I read someplace that its important!

I neglected to add the link to my incubator.
