I got the girls at the B'town
TSC. They had a LOT in store, straight runs, meat birds, and sexed. They were hatched Tuesday the 7th, so my girls are 1½ weeks old, and starting to sprout tails.
As far as Guineas go, I heard they are noisy, and though I have 5 acres I wanted to start small. I really only wanted 3, but
TSC would only sell 6, saying they were trying to deter people from buying them as Easter gifts. So I waited around asking people if they would like to split an order. One evil woman bought them for a gift for Easter morning for the grandkids, then she was going to "give them to a friend" after. I was disgusted, as chicks are NOT toys, and
TSC sold them to her anyway. So I asked if I could pay for 6, but only take 3 and they would not let me do that either. So hubby got 6, and now they are growing fast in their brooder, and we better get going on making their coop!
Hi Texasgirlie!
I agree, get chicks, they grow fast! And not to mention, they are too cute.
