Speaking of Chickens belong everywhere, I took my mother to a cardiologist recently and I had the conversation regarding Omega-3's in grass fed poultry and he told my mom that she should listen to me on the eggs!
I was thrilled with that...that even a cardiologist knows how benificial fresh eggs, meat even what ever else we can grow on our plots, say spinach to tomatos, its all better for us.
Either way, its interesting that the cardiologist recomended home grown food even if it isn't grass fed, fresh is amazingly better.

Unfortunately my mother crossed over 2 weeks ago from heart disease. I wish that everyone in New England could drop a note off to a cardiac center of a hospital in your area to remind folks of how special having grass, bugs and sunshine raised hens will benefit and influence our lives.

Spook-Sorry to hear of your loss. You are so right about the healthy eggs we get from free range chickens. Plus we get the benefit of Vitamin D being outside taking care of them. Yes, the sunshine vitamin is finally here in Maine .

Thank you Maine Chicks, I appreciate your condolances. I think we should add a sign at the chickenstocks about how benificial fresh birds and eggs are for us. Also, understanding the full extent of NPIP testing.

The weather has certainly been amazing, about time we have spring temps again. Feeling that heavenly breeze is so healing to all of us, Man and Beast. I'm taking a time out, lounge on the bed infront of an open window and regenerate a bit. Ahhhhh.

Enjoy your day!
