love the fact these are winter hardy, and all the various colors these breeds come in. Do you think these breeds would get along together, or would I be better off sticking to one variety? I like the idea of having birds in different colors, so I can tel them apart

I found if you raise them all together, they are best buds always. Mixing ages tends to cause problems...

I've bought a few birds from IDEAL this past year and found as they grow, I've been losing them to Mareks and just plain weakness. I became so frustrated that I took a few to the vet in Brunswick just to find out why... She told me they were just out of a weak hatch and Mareks is latent in all birds and possibly common to that hatchery... Just thought I'd let you know. It's aweful having to lose my lil birds.

There are plenty of other hatcheries though...and breeders are the best if you can find local ones.

If you like Bantams, Dutch game and Serema's are the funniest friendliest lil guys! Serema's aren't too good in the cold though....
Once the Swaps/Fests start up again (this area) you'll be able to meet some great folks and find some great birds and deals too!

another thing i found with ideal is their favorelles had horrible color when they feathered in. or atleast the ones i got, i use mnt healthy if i can find what i want. have had some nice birds from them. but they offer less variety

I might order some blk giants from them or my pet chicken...
I would really like to find a decent place to buy some Dutch game birds and black copper marans...pretty rare. Any suggestions?​

I would like to seee all you Mass people there. Especially Shay and the other locals. You can sign up that day and become a member. The club has a very small amount of members, and (speaking for myslf) would love to see that increase.

i hopefully will be hatching some blue giants this spring, well blue on blue and splash, so blacks to i guess

i will let you know, my fingers are crossed also. they are getting big now @6m give or take, slowest growers ever the giants are!

HELP! N.E.
PLEASE!

I need to find an all white americana pullet or roo!! (easter egger, even a cross)

I just lost my only one at 12 weeks and he/she was promised (long sad story).....

I will travel for the right bird! Hopeing to keep the same approx age...within a few weeks... but, will consider all!
I have cash! (and many types of birds for trade if necessary)
