I have a question for my fellow New Englanders... Can this constant rising and lowering temperatures cause hens to molt? I vaguely recall reading that temperatures can cause such a thing, but cannot recall where or if the weather pattern we've been experiencing would even be enough to cause a bird to molt.
There are two reasons I'm thinking at least one of my hens might be molting: 1. there are feathers all over their enclosed pen/coop and 2. we're not getting very many eggs. I know it might partially be because of their recent stress in being moved to a new home; I'm just curious if someone might be molting because of all the feathers.
Thanks in advance!

I have 10 chicks over 2 weeks old availble and 3 incubators filled to capacity. Some will be 100% while others will be 7/8% and 3/4%. Due to hatch 4-28. Inquiries welcome
