Two days ago we installed a new feature: Polls

The Golden Feather Members got early access to it and have been having a ton of fun making polls in the GFM section.

Here is who currently has access to do what:

All Guests & Members: Can read and view polls
All Members: Can vote on polls
GFM's: Can create new polls

We hope you enjoy this new feature!

NOTE: ALL FORUM RULES APPLY TO POLLS. Do not post inappropriate polls or replies to polls.

A few other items:

If you want to see the results without voting you can select "Null Vote" which basically says you don't want to vote, but you do want to see the results.

Polls should go in their respective areas. For example:

"Is this a hen or roo" = Gender section
"What time should our chickenstock be" = Chickenstock
"Do you prefer crumbles or pellets" = Feed
"Have you tried dry incubation" = incubating eggs
etc.

I voted and I have a question

Does voting bring the poll back to the top of the list? My thought is if you vote annonymously(-1SP) and dont post after about 10 minutes the poll will be off the front page.

maybe this should be at the top where u post those important bulletins. doesnt seem to be gettin noticed much here

Great idea!
For example: this feature will cut down the time we spend figuring out how many think it is a hen or roo. We don't have to count it all up. If you just want a yes or no, or quick tally, this is going to be very useful!
It gives us a 'general' idea of the consensus of back yard chicken owners.
I can see members being very creative with this new tool so I don't even want to see what random ramblings will turn into.
