The level has been decreasing so they're eating. There's a fine dust on the floor. While I didn't do it, you can cap these off to prevent mice from having a ball in there. This style makes it harder for pests since it's not in a trough. I have had the trigger style before and liked it, but with ten hens I felt like I needed more volume to prevent bullying
