New feeders are up

I wasn’t to sure about it at first, but I like the looks of it now that I have seen the video. Let us know how it works out. If it were me, I would use cork, or something else that’s kind of soft like that instead of the pvc.
Sure! Make it however you want! I have noticed they don't need to peck it very hard for the pellets to drop.

I made these too, and it seems my roo loves to feed the girls when they aren't interested, so he's always hitting the toggle, and the feed accumulates on the ground. I've been trying to figure it my next move
Oh boy....I can see how that would be frustrating. Luckily we haven't had this issue, yet

Lol I can think of an easy solution to that. When my rooster starts annoying me, I start planning who his next replacement will be. :lau

He's trying to be such a good boy! I can how that would be a problem though. Let us know what you figure out.

Yes, we ended up laying a little paver patio so the feed wasn't lost in the grass, but it sits there and piles up and gets wet and soggy and has to be removed.

Not this little guy. He's so good to his girls. He almost never eats a treat himself.

Will do. So far, the little patio I mentioned above, occasionally scraping the yucky feed off.

You could go up a size on the bolt, so it takes up more space in the hole and lets out fewer pellets at a time.

Or patch the hole and drill a smaller one, either way it should drop less per peck.

Also could give them an ear of corn, or a flock block, etc. Anything that he can dance beside, and cluck for his girls will work to divert attention from the feeder.

Are they free range or in a run?
