new flat rate shipping boxes ~ March 3rd

No way TS!

I wasn't complainin' to ya. Don't worry about it. I've been undercharging apparently on the last few boxes I've been sending out. I'm probably out about $20 the last two weeks alone because of my own inability to charge right.

Oh well. It happens every season. I always have to start learning again when I start shipping again about what to charge. I just really HATE to overcharge.

I need the bigger box most of the time, my eggs are going out by the several dozen.

I will check on that size though, might work for smaller sales

Mine are usually about a doz. at a time. Since I like to try and put at least 3-6 extras in, these will work GREAT for me. I can see the turkey or duck eggs being the only problem for size, but I did order some of the bigger boxes as well, so I'll be covered.
Just having one here to look at, you lose money vs. space when they switched these, but I suppose the PO has to make their money somehow.

Thanks for the heads-up.

I have only had a few instances where the new flat-rate box ( 12” x 12” x 5-1/2”) would have been cheaper than the #7 box ( 12" x 12" x 8") for multiple doz. (Flat-rate @ 12.95 for the #7 box would be delightful).
OH, and dummy me, I couldn't figure out what APO/FPO was... got it now

I needed to order supplies anyway today so I added some to my order. I can put a LOT of daylilies in one of those boxes.

Is there a reason everybody ships via the post office rather than UPS? We ship a lot of stuff and generally, I have found that UPS is cheaper and faster. But maybe there's a reason?

Margaret, I finally got your seeds in the mail!
I'm still waiting on Mom to finish the '08 price list (I told her yesterday, if she piddles with it much longer, it'll be '09 already

I was just at the UPS office mailing some boxes with Hubby (his work stuff) and the girl at the counter was telling the gentleman in front of us in line that it would be MUCH less expensive to ship his packages via USPS (he was commenting on the high cost of shipping and she was trying to be helpful --- prob'ly something her supervisor would have frowned upon).
