Pet Peeves

you say that you do archery.

yes I do. I think this is my 6th year shooting
GS does not like the term archery, he says that refers to a particular athletic sport, and that's not what he does. I think he's planning to hunt deer. He's not fussed about what it's called, he says.

That's impressive, I imagine you're pretty good at it.

How many arrows? And at what distance? Elijah says he can bull's-eye five out of six arrows at 60 feet (20 meters) and rim the 6th, and each bull's-eye is worth 10 points, so his top score would be 50 points plus whatever the rimmed one is worth. I realize that's not a competitive distance, but I'm just curious since he's obviously using a different point system than you are. He just got his compound bow set up recently so he's going to be increasing his distances now.

Hm. Do you have a coach?
I shoot 4-H archery and there are 2 coaches running the line but they are both usually helping the younger kids who haven't shot before and they pretty much leave the kids who have shot before alone

I shoot 5 arrows every round and I only shoot 6 rounds per score sheet so the most I can get is 150 points
I shoot at 15 yards. The distance depends on your age. The beginners shoot at 10 yards the juniors shoot at 15 yards and the seniors shoot at 20 yards.

You might ask one of the coaches to take a few minutes to check and correct your stance, the way you're holding and sighting your arrow, your release, etc. After six years you should be doing a lot better IMO. Good luck! Are you using a simple or compound?

For like 1 or 2 rounds of the time slot one of the coaches will come down to the older kids and correct my position or tell me I didn't hold it back long enough to aim

This year I am shooting a compound without sights but for like 3 years I have shot a recurve.

Yeah I should definitely be better.

A huge pet peeve is this 2 step authentication that is required for logging into sites and emails these days. I am esp peeved when Yahoo tells me to go get my code at my other Yahoo email…. Which tells me to go get a code from my other yahoo email….

Sheesh! Just ask me what’s my favourite colour for heaven sakes!

When I retire I am throwing my laptop and my cellphone in the manure pile. Then I am gonna run it through the manure spreader - get rid of that crap one way or another!

Hmmmm well maybe keep my phone so I can log into BYC. But if they start asking for a 2 step authorization I am shutting it down!
