New flock and coop!

Your birds are beautiful!

Re: the door. You might be able to attach a little string to the latch and thread it through the outside so you can just grab + pull to open and then tie it off to keep it open?

i thought about that idea but there a lock to keep it closed that I would not be able to close if I use strings, that’s why I can’t seem to find a solution

Is that little square window (that's closed up) the only source of ventilation or is there more under the roofline? If that's it, you're really going to want to find a way to add more that can be kept open 24/7, to get moisture build up out of the coop especially during the winter.

How much time do they get out of the run vs in the run? Even with a small flock that's a pretty tiny run space, so I'd want to expand that.

there a window at the back that hashard poultry fence that I can’t open or close, there’s nothing in the roof though..
I open the side door and give them access to the grass in the pen all day, so at least 9AM until they get back in to perch around 6:30PM. Thoughts?

Since they're mostly free ranging the small run is less of an issue.

For ventilation, you might want to look into louvered grate covers so you can still provide some air but lessen the possibility of having rain blown in.
