Hello, I have a flock of 5 chicken that are about 3 years old. I just picked up 10 New chicks today. I know it's difficult to introduce new birds to an older flock. But what about introducing the older birds to the New flock one at a time...Will this help integrating them easier?

I don't think so, just means each hen will get a chance to peck the chicks. There is a good method for integration called "Look but don't touch." If you can find that, it should be of help .

While your approach may seem logical in theory, it will do little to ease the actual transition and will cause more disruption overall than less. Integration doesn't have to be stressful or hard on anyone involved, there are several approaches you can take but I would suggest reading the link in the signature of the member @azygous which is very similar to what I do.

Alternatively, @Blooie has some good posts on brooding in the coop/run which also helps to ease the integration as by the time the chicks are ready to move out of their brooding area they are no longer "invaders" to the rest of the flock.
