Call me Dondra,
Mrs. Miller and I have a small Acreage near Boise, id.
We keep reg. Nubian Dairy Goats. Have some pigs. Four dogs, and fifty five week old Chicks. I'm a forth generation chicken keeper. We haven't had any chickens for several years. Now we are at it again Have been very busy trying to keep them comfortable.Tempatures have been ranging between low forties to a hundred since the peepers arrived. We have black Austerlorps, two or three different color Marans, Americanos, some ISA browns, .We plan on butchering any roos that crop up. will sell more and try to end up with 15 to 25 Layers when we get done with all the arm waving and holloring.

Sounds like a great menagerie, and quite a challenge keeping them comfy with that temperature range. It's gone from the 40s to above 90 here in the last weeks -- sometimes a 30 plus difference the same day -- not as severe as your weather but still crazy.

Best wishes to you and your flock. Welcome to BYC!!
