Hi,
My family is looking to get a coop and up to four hens this summer. We have been doing lots of research and looking on Craig's list for coops.

Welcome to BYC! If you check out the learning center, there's lots of great articles, and lots of members here have a page with pictures of their coops, in case you were looking for ideas. If you ever have any questions, always feel free to ask! Thanks for joining us!

:welcome glad that you have joined us. Coop makers often exaggerate the number of chickens their coops can accommodate, so go for something a little larger than you think you need, if possible.

Best wishes
Ct

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join us here! I too agree that often coops are exaggerated in size. Have you checked out our coop section? Lots of super ideas and you could Taylor make your coop to suit your needs. Please do pop by ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/2/Coop_Designs

Wishing you the very best of luck with your new venture. Be sure to ask any questions, everyone here to help and very friendly.

Enjoy BYC :frow

I agree with CT...I am having to thin my flock because my roost space is getting crowed in that coop!

Glad you joined us! If you are the DIY type, you may find it better to build yourself a coop? There are some really great designs (many with plans) here:

Enjoy your new venture!
