Hi, I'm Jessica.
I've had Silkie chickens since May . I'm in search of quality silkies to build my flock.
I have 4 horses along with my chickens and sold my cows ( I'll be buying more and rebuilding my herd within the next year or two) just long enough to move.

I made a huge mistake of buying farm store silkies and , truthfully I got some nasty tempers and some that aren't even silkies. I only recently purchased some better quality birds and adore them --even the roosters. I'm looking for bearded true splash calicos and lavendars (preferably out of show stock. I learned my lesson: you get what you pay for.)

Hope you find the silkies you are seeking. My friend bought 2- 4 mos. old pullets from a breeder in NY(through the buy,sell,trade forum) several years ago, they were gorgeous.

When she wanted more, discovered that breeder isn't at BYC anymore.
