(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I've had chickens off and on for about 8 years.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 8 chickens right now. My 4 golden girls who are around 3 years old and 4 6 wk old chicks.
Plus, 4 ducklings.
(3) What breeds do you have?
My older girls are 2 red sex-links and 2 leghorns. The chicks are all Ameraucanas.
My ducklings are random. Pekin, crested pekin, rouen and blue swedish.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love their different personalities.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I've just brought in ducks. So I'm new to the mixed flock adventure.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
1 son, he's 9, and two dogs.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I have been stalking BYC for YEARS, just finally decided to join.
