I could definitely see how those challenges in the environment could make raising broilers difficult! I was going to recommend the Meat Bird Forum, but see you have already found it!

Have you tried any other broilers besides Cornish Cross? I know CC are pretty much unrivaled for their growth rate and other features that make them the obvious choice for most.
