Hello my name is Gabby! New here(obviously!). We currently have 6 new chicks; 2 buff orpington, 1 bantam frizzle, 3 black sex-links(?). We've had them for 2 days and so far so good! They are absolutely lovely but the frizzle seems to have a prolapse vent(which is getting better and he/she is still eating and really lively). We also have three dogs, of which only two can be around the babies I am so excited to start to get to know everyone and learn learn learn!

Your babies are adorable!! Just be careful with dogs around chickens. Some dogs will always see chickens as dinner. Good luck with your new babies and enjoy BYC!!

Thanks for the welcome TwoCrows! I will most definitely be careful, sitting next to them the whole time. Love my pups but don't trust them with my cute chippers!

This is my bantam frizzle, he/she is pretty whiny(chirpy) and always wakes all the other babes up. Normal for the breed?

Oops, I take back the type of babies I have. The receipt says black australorps. Wow. I feel like a fool!
