I called my post office this morning to let them know I have some chicks coming either the end of this week or the beginning of next week.

I told her I would be there 20min after they called me and to keep them warm.

I was pretty irritated last time they OPENED it! When I had my pheasants shipped, they "just wanted to see" Thankfully it was july and warm. If they do that this time I'm gonna have words with them. They should not be opening my mail!

I just ordered 26 from Ideal. Our ship date is the 16th

We ordered:
Barred American Hollands
Sicilian Buttercups
White Faced Black Spanish
Bantam Buff Orps
Black Crested White Polish

All hard to find breeds, but Ideal has them

I also have 15 mixed pure breed surprise eggs in my incubator that were given to me. Hatch date 2/21

The lady opened my box too!! Couldn't believe it!! Don't have to worry about that now cause i'm picking them up at the airport!!! From now on when I order chicks, I will NEVER have them sent to my local PO!! I will call the AP and make other arrangements!!
