New fuzzy butts coming!!

glad to hear that. This morning I put my little hope in one of my daughters old tiny mittens and then in my shirt pocket.(a poket on a tshirt on the chest) and she was with me while I planted seeds to start for spring. I have a wood burner so my basement is warm. Anyways she was so alert and looking around. When she stoped chepping I looked down and she was sound asleep and stayed asleep for a while. I guess I am turning into a chicken lady.lol

That IS adorable!! It sounds like little Hope is going to be a very spoiled chicken and she sure deserves it.

Good luck to you all getting your fuzzy butts this week (the replacements). I hope to hear about how wonderful and healthy they all look next week!!

I called our post office distribution center this morning and talked to them about the baby chicks. They said they know the drill and call as soon as they get them, which can be as early as 3AM, and they'd never send them out to be delivered. So, keeping my fingers crossed. Also, next week looks pretty mild here - cold but not frigid like it had been getting. Ugh I don't know what I'll do if I open the box and find some DOA - DH is going to try to take the day off too so maybe he'll take the first peek in. Want to hear a LOT of peeping and chirping going on!!!

Sounds like a true country girl to me! I am always raising a critter in my shirt pocket.....bunnies, squirrels, opossums, chicks, kittens, puppies, even a mink once.

Love it! Keep up the good work!

No but a country girl at heart. I was raised in the city and now have some land but my dream is to be in the middle of nowhere.

Thank you, we are all needing good luck right now. I do have to say, don't be alarmed if you get 1 or maybe 2 DOA. It happens more often than not. They normally ship more than what was purchased just for that reason. I ordered 25 then my free one, so 26 total. When I counted the total that was shipped to me it was 30. I am keeping my fingers crossed for all of us, new and replaced orders!!

I think you are making the adjustment just fine!

I love being out in the middle of nowhere.

I made a critter apron and used it several times it was an old dress shirt with two chest pockets. Worked great.
