hubby planned and built our coop. And he is planning another to build for spring. Something a little bigger, and walk-in style. WITH a hatchery!!!

Oh yes, the chickens are "my thing" although he's been very involved with the housing design and selecting pretty breeds -- all while complaining about how much those eggs are going to cost.

Awwwwwee! She was so sweet!

I just spent my entire day hanging out with my friends in the hen house. I think I might just have found my calling...as a chicken! The smell of a good clean dirt bath and fresh pine shavings is so calming. After today, I think I have recharged enough to survive the wait for my new peeps.
