Never heard of a porcelain before, so went looking for pics. OMG! Those are adorable! If I were keeping chickens just for pets, that is what I would have!!! They look SO soft and snuggly. I agree with you, of all the fuzzies, the porcelains are the best.

If you look at my profile pic, that's Echo, my little porcelain hen that was brutally mauled by a dog....

I still miss her to this day! The christmas before last, my DH printed out pics of her and gave them to me as a gift....They are hanging on one of my walls at home!!
They are stunning birds! The personalities are amazing!! If you ever get a chance, get one, or 2!

ohhh, I am so proud of myself! I haven't gone to the garage to "check" the brooder...not even once!

But I have spent the ENTIRE day lurking about BYC.

Life? what life? Is there such a thing as life when waiting for chickies?

Funny you say that because I have been on this sight all day as well!! I just can't seem to get enough BYC these days! You haven't "checked"? Not even once? Way to go!! Nope, our lives right now are ALL about those little fuzzy butts!!! I wouldn't want or have it any other way!! My family thinks i'm nuts and or out of my mind!!

my DH keeps saying, "But why can't you clean my house while you're waiting?> What does he want? I cleared a path through his garage, and swept the corner where my brooder is. And hey, don't I feed him? Sheeshes, you would think he would have expected this when he bought the little darlings for me.

I even went so far as to send my resume to MyPetChicken.com today for a home-based customer service position someone had listed somewhere here on BYC! Something tells me that someday, I am gonna look back at this day, and shake my head at me.
