New Goats! what breed?

Almost looks like a 1/4 Nubian 3/4 Boer cross to me.

Could be like a Nigerian, maybe? I only say that because they're miniature.

They are not purebreds, that's for sure. Nigerians and pygmies (two breeds of mini goats) have upright ears. These look like they are Nigerians crossed with Boer. The Boer would explain the floppy ears and the extra teats.

Very unlikely but the dark one is colored like my Purebreed Oberhasli (rare dairy breed, formerly called Swiss Alpine, fairly large sized). White is dominant in goats so having that Oberhasli color is unusual and maybe a hint of one back a generation or 3 ... that is my best guess anyway. BTW - Oberhasli have one of the highest butterfat % in dairy breeds so the milk is very sweet & Cream rich so that would be a bonus if it passed w/ the coloring hope that helps. -Raine

The color pattern is known as chamoisee. It is actually a pretty common color among Nigerians and their mixes. Because Oberhasli goats are a breed that must have that color (or black), it is often associated with them. I do love that pattern personally, more than buckskin. My Nigerian buck is a solid, dark chamoisee!

I would say Boer X Nigerian or Nubian X Nigerian
