new guy has a couple questions about bator

Quote:
A lot of people on here, including me, put the eggs in the bottom of an egg carton. This way the other chicks that hatched don't move them around so much.

I was wondering about a carton. I didn't know if it would affect the way that they broke out. Bought new therm. and hydrom today it maxed out on humidity so I took water dish out and watching it it is down to 65 %.Is there a chance I wrecked the hatch. It is day 3. This temp/moisture thing is driving me nuts. Thanks for all the help.

You should get the humidity down more to around 50% or a little lower. Glad you can see them. If you decide to do the egg carton I cut out some of the sides on the bottom and after being in the carton for 3 days most of mine found the right end to come out of. Good luck.
