New Hampshire Red Bigger and Shorter Feathers / Roo??

Not to mention they will tell customers just about anything to get those chicks sold. Every spring there are people posting here to show off their precious new babies, sold to them as pullet laying breeds, only to learn they have straight run Cornish X.

....... and there was the time I saw Green Laced Wyandottes...... It took a phone call to their home office to get that straightened out!
LOL. My local feed store had "Silkie" Wyandottes once. I asked the girl working the chick area about them if perhaps the box they came in was labeled "S" Wyandottes. She said yes. I told her, the "S" meant Silver, not Silkied. She didn't believe me until her manager set her straight. She hasn't worked there since...

Dam, I had thought about getting this second flock of chicks from Southern States (which is where I got mine last year) TSC is closer to where I live, so I did that instead this year. Hope the rest turn out to be heathy layer chicks. I believe my buddy might take the so called NHR, and process it in a month or two.

I don't remember when my first flock were chicks, but this bigger bird already has wattles, stands tall at about 2 feet. This bird also looks like it has 4 toes instead of 3. Is this the spur development already?
