i've been sooo tempted to let one of my young little ladies sit on some egg these last few weeks-2 of them keep trying to 'claim' other eggs. but i keep worrying about the cold when the little chickies hatch. i'd love to see some of the possible crosses i might have and what my 2 cochins could produce for colors.

Hi. Any kittens out there? My friend would like to get one for his wife. Thanks.

Hi Jen, I saw kittens on Craigslist this week, but that site is so crazy with flaggers that they are there one minute and gone the next! I do have a friend with a litter in Burlington Mass...let me see if she still has them. they are in the 6-8 week range from what I remember. I will get back to you.

anyone have any plans for raising something different this spring?
i saw that chickies moma is going with some buff brahmas. i would also be interested in getting a few for me so if you have any extra's let me know. that is if you order pullets only, if that is even possible.

forgot to add- i have a trio of blue/splash jersey giants, i am looking to add a few more and work with them.

I am trying to get some BCMs but not getting much accomplished with my hatchings. As soon as this darn cold weather goes I am gonna try again.I am also working on Mottled Japs from Paul Krull(?) They seem to be infertile for some reason.I really need to get my stock up with those and not sure why the fertility is off.

I need my head examined...still setting eggs in the bator! 53 button quail eggs, 14 serama eggs and 3 modern game....Oh well, I guess I will have plenty to pick from come swap time! if I can part with them!

a Ha Shay...we are hatchaholics!! My bator keeps fluxuating so bad with the temp. this last hatch had days of 94 and then a spike for a day to 104 and they still hatched out! This time some of the serama eggs I put in are about 3 weeks old and I had put them aside in a basket and forgot about them. The room is cool so I am curious to see if they develope. I think I am like Dr. Chickenstein here! Monster chickens will be hatching!
