This just in from the FWS:
... as a result of information received since publication of the final rules, the Service has decided to amend the regulations restricting possession, propagation and sale of muscovy ducks. Therefore, we will not restrict possession or issue permits for propagation and sale of muscovies at this time. However, to reduce their spread, the revision to 50 CFR 21.14(g) prohibiting release of captive-bred muscovy ducks to the wild, including for hunting, will be implemented.
So, excercise your freedom and go get some Muscovies!
these are a couple of ours. Diego, is a recent purchase. our 2 girls are just at the point of lay. so, any time now, we will be adding muscovy eggs to our lineup!

Chocolates mostly, but they also produce blacks. Bryant wants some different colors, later on, he really likes his Muscovies. The lavenders are pretty

I have some blue eyed whites in the bator. Have never hatched ducks before. other than the longer incubation, I am hoping it is not all that different than chickens. I also have a few runners in the bator due in a couple weeks.

Runners are the easiest to hatch in the incubator (Sarah's haven't started laying yet), never had much luck with the muscovies in the incubator so we let the Mom's do it..
