New Hampshire!!

Yes some people belong in condos they like controlling other people. I'm big on having my own "dirt" . I'm respectful of others but don't think that means
I'm asking how I should live my life. I love that we live in a free country and pray people appreciate that and respect differences.
You sound like you have what I'd term a bit of heaven, piece of property enjoy it for all it's worth.
There's a swap in Milford Will that be the closest or will they have one in Epping,,Derry or Plaistow? Got to go. So glad I joined BYC

looking forward to the 2013 swap season. we have gotten many inquiries from buyers and sellers. many of the vendors are already raising chicks and/or have eggs in the bator. there are hundreds of chicks ordered or being raised already.
the first swap will be indoors at the milford trsactor supply march 30 from 9am to 1pm.
At chicken swaps do vendors ever sell hatching eggs of just chicks and chickens?

hi mary,
we have 45 swaps in the planning stage. the season will kick off with the milford swap. this would be a little early for us to post the schedule for the whole season. eventually the schedule will be available to view on our chicken swaps of nh web site. there will be swaps in brentwood-derry-and plaistow.

Got my first blue egg today!!

Got a little bantam at the swap in titlon this past October. she is a mix of some sort. Cant remember the ladies name that I got her from but she is super friendly and just layed her first egg! yea for me!!

I have a handsome fellow available, if anyone is interested in him:

He's a bantam roo. I got him as a chick from nhnanna last July, he's a cross-breed and I'm not sure what his parentage might be. He's got five toes and feathered legs, so I imagine there's some silkie or something similar in there somewhere. His comb is interesting, it's bifurcated at the back, I'll post a pic that tries to show it. He's also super friendly. But he doesn't really fit into any of my breeding programs, so for me he's just one too many roos. Anyone interested? One of the other chicks I got from nhnanna in that same batch was also a bantam and she turned out to be an olive egger, so this fellow might carry that gene too. Here are a couple more pics:
