New Hampshire!

Also, I may have a lavender orpington boy that I may not want to keep...not sure I'm ready for a roo yet. It's from breeder stock.
It's definitely a boy. About 4 weeks old. I'd like to see him go to a good home.

We got your Minny heat...just a few days later. Our one advantage (sometimes disadvantage) is getting those backdoor cold fronts right into the beginning of summer. Unfortunately this spring has been a repeated pattern of about 2 weeks of crap and then 2 day of summer. Rinse and repeat.

We had 4 rounds of that yesterday. Heat, cold, wind. Took down some trees, dropped a couple 8 inch round 20 ft long branches on one of my covered runs....That is not good for the netting, incase you are wondering..

it was nearly 90, then dropped to the 50's then back to 88 and back to 60.. Every drop was a storm. Not a fun day..

I might have to move there yet! You should know NH, Vermont and Maine our on my bucket list. I have never been there but I want to go to them. I don't care about southern NE too many people for me from what I understand.

Hey everyone,

Thank you for all the knowledge I find in this site, as well as this forum in particular, as I live in the Lake Sunapee area. My girlfriend is a Cape girl who moved up here a year ago and opened her business in Holistic Health and she always wanted chickens, so here I am with a built 8x8 coop, 20x8ft run and hopes of free ranging my flock of 4 Americana, 2 easter Eggers, 2 buff orp, 3 columbian wyandotte, 4 NH red, 3 speckled Sussex and 3 barred rock I'm hoping to raise for her to sell the eggs in her store. They're all 10ish weeks old now and survived their trip from Missouri, and a few from Runnings.

I'm new to raising chickens but used this site to figure out everything I needed to know to raise them, so thank you all.

SW NH is nice. But I prefer C NH close to 93. It's just enough boonies for me, yet I can make it down to Concord, Manchester, or Boston quickly if I need to.
