New Hampshire!

Trying to round out my little 3 month old flock with one or two brown egg layers. Anyone have a couple of healthy pullets they'd be willing to part with? Looking to add some variety, so two different breeds would be preferred.

Do any of you also own goats? We are thinking of getting some Nigerian Dwarfs. Is it unheard of to house them with the chickens? I was thinking I could make a 'goat house' opposite my chicken coop and have them share the pen/run, putting a door on the chicken coop so that the goats cannot enter and eat all of the food :)

I have goats also. I have 2 Nigerian Dwarf doelings they are 6 months old. It is definitely not unheard of to keep chickens and goats together. I hear it is actually a good setup as they get along well together. As long as you make sure your set up keeps the goats out of the chicken feed(its not good for them). I have my goats in a separate pen but I do plan to put a small chicken house in with them probably not until next spring though. A good place to read up more about goats or to ask questions is BYCs sister site is backyardherds.com.
