I bought my ND does from a family in Claremont. I planned to bring them back to the same farm and use one of their non related bucks, but it is quite a drive. Also I am still learning how to identify when my does are in cycle, they are 9 months old. I still feel they may be young to breed but the larger doeling is a bit bigger, she was a single at birth, I have yet to weigh her though.

I am not sure where Brenda's sister lives... but she has some very nice ND.. I was taught not to breed them till the following yr.

I am on the hunt for fertile eggs to get in a couple of weeks (I plan to encourage my silkie to go broody after Christmas - a fairly easy task lol). Anyways, my ideal would be a variety of three or four of the following breeds located within an hour of fryeburg:

* welsummer
* black copper or other maran
* salmon faverolle
* olive egger
* light brahma
* wyandotte - any
* frizzle - any
* speckled sussex

If you have fertile eggs for any of these (the more breeds the better) I would love to know.
