New Hampshire!

Hey fellow NH-ites.

I'm looking for some specific breeds...cream legbars, lavender orpingtons, isbars, black copper marans, and salmon faverolles. Just wondering what the local BYCers have locally. I'm trying to time as many of these breeds as possible so they can be raised together as chicks. My current flock is 11 healthy hens large right now.

Hi!

New member and newish chicken owner in Stratham. Looking to see if anyone has any fertile eggs? Barnyard mix ok! I currently have 3 Barred Rocks, 3 Red Links, and 4 Easter Eggers with a 7 m/o Sumatran roo. Would prefer something different and interesting, but I honestly just have the hatching bug! I'm prepared to keep chicks indoors for awhile amd have a brooder and smaller coop ready to go. Put 8 eggs in the incubator last week and only 1 is developing. :-( Anybody have anything? Thanks!
How many hatched? The last batch I hatched (3 out of 12 eggs), the incubator temp wouldn't stay at about 99.5. It went up to almost 105 two times to my knowledge. Maybe your temp. Was too high/low.Or you had a rooster with a low umm...drive.lol

I live in ossipee area. Where are you all getting the fancy breeds of chicks from? I get mine at Clarks or metcalfs and they are the same basic barred rock,RIR, leghorn, americauna/EE etc. I want something now. I got a Silkie pair once, but they were around 4-6 months and that was at fryeburg fair.
