Greetings Fellow New Hampshirites!
As a point of reference, the Deerfield Fair is the only APA/ABA sanctioned County Fair in NH. It is held in late September. The New Hampshire Poultry Fanciers Association holds its annual APA/ABA sanctioned Show on the Deerfield Fair grounds the second Sunday in October. This year it is October 14th. The NHPFA manages the poultry barn for the Deerfield Fair. Our annual fair set up and club meeting is held on the second Sunday of August. It is upcoming this weekend. Here's the letter that was sent out. Come join the crew!! Hope to see you there!

Greetings NH Poultry Enthusiasts!
Wow! Time does fly by, indeed. It feels as if the 2011 show season were just a little while ago, and yet it is time to start preparing for the 2012 season. Where has the time gone? I hope you have some birds coming up in the barnyard that you are excited to show. It’s almost time to scrub those toenails!
This coming Sunday, August 12th, we shall be holding our annual meeting at the Deerfield Fair grounds—always the second Sunday in August. We shall, as is tradition, take the time to set up for the fair, and then we’ll be able to sit down and take care of club business as well as club elections. Please come join us as you are able. It is truly amazing how many hands make light work. We will be beginning at 10am at the poultry barn. I hope to see you all there.
By way of club news, the NHPFA has begun a new initiative this season to begin an APA/ABA Youth Club. Gail Berube, our Youth Director, has enthusiastically taken the reigns. This summer she arranged an excellent field trip to long time NHPFA member and Show Secretary Brian Knox’s home in Weare, NH, for a wonderful, educative look inside a true breeder’s facility. Thank you, Gail and Brian, for supporting our youth—the future the fancy.
Come join us on Sunday and be part of the works. I have found that it is in the setting up and taking down of the shows that some of the best conversations are had, the most is shared, and friendships are begun. Directions can easily be had by googling the Deerfield Fair. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you need further assistance.
Best to you all!
