I just finished my first incubation and had 5 eggs hatch. Out of the 5, one was a leghorn breed, and the others were ameracaunas. The leghorn was the only one to have a comb started on the head already.

Does this mean their is a good chance it will be a rooster? Or is it just the breed.

I ask, cause I am hoping one of my new ones will be a rooster. I have two chickens that are a little older then 3 months now and both ended up being hens.

So when I saw that only on the one, I was hoping that was a good sign.

Yep, the others you can't see the combs of because they're pea combs, which are small and tight against the face.
