New Hatchlings...(Tiny Has Grown Up Now....Update)

Though I realize this is a very old thread, I was linking to it for someone to show them Tiny's story and I re-read the story of how she came to be here so thought I'd update it.

Since they are over two years old now, I'm also moving this thread from Raising Chicks to Pictures & Stories.

Tiny is just over 2 years old now and we call her The Tiny Terrorist, for good reason. She grew spurs that are now between 1/2-3/4" long and shows signs of a Sumatra rooster jumping the fence back in her lineage somewhere from her head shape, tail set and overall body type. She is a very good layer, but though she hatched from a blue egg and has a pea comb, she lays brown eggs.

She aggressively seeks attention, and I do mean aggressive, is spoiled rotten, even to the point of biting really hard, then if you push her away, she flogs like a rooster. If you close the door at roost time, but then, have to go back inside, you will be attacked by the Terrorist on Duty. She's like that Death Blossom weapon from the Last Starfighter that just shoots in all directions at once so there's no defense against it. My rooster actually seems to clock out and Tiny clocks in. Woe to the chicken thief that dares to open that door after dark!

My DH "gets" her now, but she's almost had her neck snapped a few times when he lost patience with her. When she really gets out of line, my EE hen, June, kicks her scrawny butt, LOL. June has no patience for terrorists attacking Dad.

Here is Tiny today.
