Welcome to BYC!Hi I'm Lisa, and i'm considering chickens (have been for years but seriously it's taking over my brain).
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Completely new, i've read a lot of theoretical and know people at work that have chickens and other birds. But I have never personally owned them. I'd really love to get into it, but need a support system of knowledge before I take the plunge.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I dont! But I adore silkies and really all types of chickens!
(3) What breeds do you have?

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Chickens are fun to watch, and have some great personalities (and some not thst happens too)
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
A lot of crafting stuff!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have 4 kids of varoous ages dogs and cats (all cats indoors only dogs go in and out with us.) I work in the school system!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I have known this place exists for awhile, andtried to avoid it so I wasn't tempted. But the pull is strong! So I figured I had better get on here and really find the good info.
